Testimonials

As CIO I hired George and his team for several large enterprise IT simulation projects, one in an automotive setting and one in a banking setting.  In each, that team was required to work with the IT staff to deliver analytics that would help change the organization for the better, at many levels.  I am happy to say that George’s work contributed significantly to the success of these very challenging and complex projects.

George and I first became acquainted over seven years ago, when he was working on a joint project with Sun and one of our major customers.  Since then, I've had the distinct pleasure of working with him on multiple occasions.  To say that George "solves complex problems" doesn't even begin to do justice to what he brings to the table.  He is a brilliant analytical thinker, which is rare in itself, but moreover is an excellent communicator and frankly, a very likable person -- people enjoy working with him, which is essential in high-value, strategic engagements.  In addition, George has coached me in learning techniques such as system dynamics and raised the quality of my own thinking and analytical skills.  I would gladly have George as a collaborator on any team I am leading.

George Danner has worked on several projects for me at BP over the last few years.  His unique ability to bring clarity to complex problems and decision making has added tremendous value on several fronts.   In a project involving new technology development, George helped us construct a clear strategy by clarifying the key decisions needed and the ramifications of various development scenarios.  George is presently involved in a simulation aimed at accelerating training of mid level engineers to build organizational capability in a complex area of our business.  George’s collaborative style and creative approach combine to make him not only a valued resource for our company but also a trusted ally I can call on to discuss difficult problems.

I’ve known George Danner for more than 10 years and, when it comes to building computer simulations of business processes, he’s the best.  George and I first worked together to build a simulation of helicopter transportation for offshore workers in the Gulf of Mexico.  His graphical depiction of the “as is” and potential “to be” processes made a compelling demonstration of the value of planned and scheduled helicopter services with sharing between oil companies.  We’ve since worked on tools to determine the optimum level of flight crew resources for various flight scheduling requirements.  George offers products that can be tailored to answer specific questions, such as the optimum aircraft type (e.g., speed and payload) for a given demand, and can easily be adapted to answer other questions that may arise later; i.e., his products are reusable.  If you need to do “what if” analysis with a logistics problem, George has the expertise you need.

I have had the true pleasure of working with George over the last few months on a project related to organizational design in the pharmaceutical industry.  George was able to brilliantly translate the findings from interviews into a systems dynamic model of our “as is” state and identify the key leverage points for a future “to be” state.  The analysis of this model lead to some stunning insights which were unlikely to have occurred without his modeling efforts; these helped shape the future direction of our organization.  George’s insight, comprehensive skills and understanding of customer needs made this collaboration not only one of the most stimulating and rewarding of my profession career, but also one of the most enjoyable.  I will actively seek his collaboration again should a similar project ever present itself.

Last year we turned to George Danner to lead a team in developing a simulation and model to anticipate the impact of H1N1 on patients in our service area. George's work was simply first rate, well thought, delivered on time and surprisingly accurate as we have now learned from experience. His professionalism and knowledge makes him an easy choice as a partner for our future work in disaster preparedness modeling.
